The Museum of the Mississippi Delta is at the crossroads of regional history and art. The Museum boasts a room dedicated to the agricultural history of the region with farming implements on display. A Civil War era cannon, with the nickname of Lady Polk, and a model of nearby Fort Pemberton are featured in the Leflore County military history exhibit, focusing on the effect of various wars on Greenwood and its citizens.

Artifacts and furniture from Malmaison, the home of former Choctaw Chief and Senator Greenwood Leflore, are on display.

Across the exhibit hall is a walk-through diorama of a Mississippi swamp and the Children’s Discovery Room.

The Museum is home to a treasure of Southern art by the most celebrated artists of our time.
